Earth Day of Action at the Capitol
Minnesota Needs an Immediate, Statewide Moratorium on the Development of Hyperscale Data Centers
Concerned Minnesotans are opposing hyperscale data center projects in local towns, cities, and counties across the state.
With more than 20 active hyperscale data center proposals in Minnesota, the “Data Center Bill” passed in the 2025 special session falls short of creating a comprehensive regulatory framework to adequately address the impact of these projects.
~ The Peoples’ Voice Must Be Heard ~
Local communities from Farmington, Pine Island, Monticello, Hermantown and more are traveling to the capitol on Earth Day to share testimony in the Rotunda in support of a Data Center Moratorium.
If you are concerned about Hyperscale Data Centers in Minnesota, please show up & spread the word!
Join us in the MN Capitol Rotunda on Earth Day, April 22nd, from 1:30-3pm for a Community Hearing on Data Centers!

To our lawmakers, agencies, governor’s office and all of those with decision-making power to chart the path forward for our state, please join us on Earth Day to hear directly from your constituents. This is not a partisan issue ~ it’s the people vs. Big Tech. Our intent with this community hearing is to create space for the peoples voice as we navigate, collectively, how to protect our communities from the impact of Hyperscale Data Centers.
We will have reserved seating for members of the legislature & decision-makers ~ if you need any special arrangements made in order to attend, please send a message to info@riseandrepair.org and we will do our best to accommodate.
